Chrononutrition: Zoom on the method of Dr. Delabos

The chrono-nutrition is not just another diet to lose weight. Rather, it is a food rebalancing, a Power mode that helps keep (or regain) slim by following a few rules ... that upset some of our habits. No forbidden food, but hours of meals taken to comply.
The chrono-nutrition, invented by Dr. Alain Delabos * in 1986, is a different way of eating that takes into account our biological clock. Because today, our ultra-pressed lifestyles cause us to eat on the go, a bit much anytime and anyhow.Chrono-nutrition attempts to put the record straight.

The principle of chrono-nutrition

chrononutritionTo develop his method, Dr. Delabos was assumed that foods are not treated the same way as the time at which it consumes. Depending on the time of day, the food will be more or less well used by the body: they are either converted into energy or they are stored and may lead to weight gain over the long term.
We know for example, that fat and sugars consumed the evening will be stored while they are an important source of energy when eaten in the morning. Hence the need, as underlined Dr. Chauchard ** specialist geno-chrono-nutrition, "eat the cheese in the morning and not at night, it's too fat."
In other words, if we want to lose weight, you have to adapt his diet based on metabolic changes in the body throughout the day.

Chrononutrition: Morphotype

Morphotype corresponds to our physical characteristics (shape rather hourglass shaped, pyramid ...) resulting from a share of genetics but also of our eating habits and our physical activity. Chrono-nutrition considers the morphotype of each to better help us understand how our body works and why we tend to store more than others.

Chrononutrition in practice

In practice, it is simply to listen to the needs of our organization to give it what it needs at the right time. For example, upon awakening, our body needs fuel to recharge your batteries: sugars, fats and proteins it needs. But at night, it is better not to overload giving him easily digestible food and avoid sugary and fatty foods, which in practice will serve him for nothing. For more information, see our article " Chrononutrition: a typical day ."

FORBIDDEN FOODS IN CHRONONUTRITION

With nutrition-clock, no food is forbidden, because what counts is to consume the right food groups (protein, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals) at the right time.

CHRONONUTRITION ALLOWS 2 JOKERS PER WEEK ...

On his website, Dr. Delabos explained that twice a week, you can afford a meal that does not follow the rules of nutrition-timer. Because when you're right in the head, one is on his plate. But beware, not more than once a week and not the same day!

... AND CHOCOLATE EVERY DAY

The dark chocolate is known for its antioxidant and rich in magnesium. And good news, it is more than recommended by chrono-nutrition. It is an excellent source of energy that allows us to finish the day without deviation. Care is taken to consume the black (70% minimum) and not to exceed 30 g daily.
